Trip Itinerary
Day 1 Istanbul Welcome to Istanbul, the only city in
the world connecting two continents: Asia and Europe. This
afternoon our tour leader will brief us about the next days
of our journey. Evening free to start exploring Istanbul on
your own.
Day 2 Istanbul After breakfast we will start to
discover the magnificent sights of Istanbul. We'll visit the
Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace and the Hagia Sophia
Museum.
Day 3 Gallipoli Today we will depart Istanbul for
Gallipoli. We will discover all the important memorial sites
in the region including the Kabatepe War Museum, Anzac Cove,
Chunuk Bair and Lone Pine.
Day 4 Troy, Pergamum, Selcuk After breakfast we will
head to the ancient city of Troy, the setting of Homer's
epic, Iliad, involving a giant wooden horse. We'll continue
to Pergamum, and the remains of the Temple of Athena, Temple
of Trajan, library and theatre cut into the hillside. In the
evening we'll arrive in Selcuk.
Day 5 Ephesus, Pamukkale The best preserved ancient
town in Turkey, Ephesus, will be our first stop. In the
afternoon we will depart for Pamukkale and visit the ancient
town of Hierapolis, which was the cure centre founded about
160 BC by the king of Pergamum. Our day will continue with
the discovery of Pamukkale (the Cotton Castle) with it's
unusual and beautiful landscape. Overnight stay in Pamukkale.
Day 6 Pamukkale, Saklikent, Fethiye Today we will
depart for Fethiye, the “traveller’s paradise” by the
Mediterranean coast. Besides its magnificent beaches,
spectacular nature and unspoiled beaches, Fethiye also
covers the site of ancient Telmassus. On our way to Fethiye,
we’ll visit the spectacular Saklikent Gorge. Saklikent is a
natural wonder hiding within a 18 km long magnificent canyon
of which height reaches to 600 meter in some places. The
impressive rocks and ice-cold water of the canyon will
experience us an unique afternoon. Overnight stay in Fethiye.
Day 7 Fethiye, Kayakoy, Oludeniz After breakfast
we’ll first discover Kayakoy (Karmylassos), the old Greek
town famous for its impressive old stone houses. Then we’ll
head our way to the peaceful Lagoon of Oludeniz where you
can relax at the magnificent beach or join one of the
adventure activities including paragliding, microlighting
and loads more.
Day 8 Fethiye, Tlos, Kas Today we will first explore
the ancient ruins of Tlos before proceeding Kas, the
charming fishing village at the Mediterranean.
Day 9 Kas, Kekova, Boat Cruise Another magnificent
day is awaiting us ! After breakfast we’ll depart for Ucagiz
and join the boat cruise to discover the sunken city of
Kekova. Today you can also participate in optional
activities like sea-kayaking on the sunken city and scuba
diving.
Day 10 Kas, Olympos (D) Today we’ll depart for
Olympos, the relaxing valley ideal to chill out on the
unspoiled beaches or below the huge pinetrees. Overnight
stay in Olympos.
Day 11 Olympos, Gulet Cruise (B, L, D) After
breakfast we'll first visit the archaeological site of Myra
and then give a break at Demre for shopping and lunch. After
lunch we'll depart an unforgettable cruise experience for
Demre. Today we'll sail to Pirates Cave, Sunken City of
Kekova, Simena and Gokkaya Bay. After dinner we'll relax in
this pirates haven or party the night away at the sea side
bar.
Day 12 Gulet Cruise (B, L, D) After breakfast we'll
cruise to Kas where we'll first have a swim in a nice and
quiet bay in front of the little town. Then we'll stop in
the harbour for lunch. In the afternoon we'll continue to
Kalkan and anchor in Aquarium or Firnaz Bay where we'll
spend the night.
Day 13 Gulet Cruise (B, L, D) Around sunrise we'll
depart for Butterfly Valley where we'll stop for breakfast,
swimming and to visit this natural reserve, hosting 136
kinds of different butterflies and moths. Ölüdeniz (The Blue
Lagoon) will be our next stop. Then we'll weigh anchor for
our last stop of the day : St-Nicholas Island. We'll visit
the Byzantine ruins, swim and dinner.
Day 14 Gulet Cruise, Fethiye, Istanbul (B, L) After
breakfast we'll cruise to Samanlik Bay where we'll swim and
lunch. Then we'll sail to Fethiye Harbour where our cruise
will end. In the evening we'll drive back to Istanbul (night
drive by local coach, there will be no tour leader
travelling with you).
Day 15 Istanbul Our tour will finish in Istanbul at
the main bus terminal.
