Pyramids, Temples & Treasures
You start your Egyptian adventure at the awe-inspiring
Pyramids, before visiting the renowned Egyptian Museum,
home of Tutankhamun’s gold and a host of treasures from
this ancient land. From Cairo you then take the
comfortable sleeper train south along the Nile valley to
Aswan, gateway to Nubia and Africa beyond. In Aswan
there’s plenty of time to wander along the Nile-side
corniche or explore some of the city’s many temples,
before enjoying dinner with a Nubian family.
Cruising the Nile & Luxor
From Aswan, you’ll join your cruise boat for the classic
river journey to Luxor. Here you can relax and watch
daily life on the Nile pass by, stopping to explore the
impressive temples at Edfu and Kom Ombo. Once in Luxor
your journey into Egypt’s magnificent history continues
with a visit to the legendary Valley of the Kings and a
calesh (horsedrawn carriage) ride to stunning Karnak
Temple – fun for all the family! There’ll be free time
in Cairo to finish this classic Egyptian journey.
Distinctive Accommodation
Your accommodation on this trip will be in a mixture of
modern and heritage hotels. For example, the Old
Cataract Hotel, Aswan and the Winter Palace Hotel, Luxor
are justly famous historic properties. Your cruise boat
will have comfortable cabins and feature a swimming
pool, sundeck, restaurant and bar among its facilities.
