Get
ready for an adventure! Experience the excitement and beauty
of the underwater world. You will discover diverse aquatic
wildlife in abundance, and an amazingly beautiful world. The
Red Sea is home to wildlife that will capture your interest
and imagination for a lifetime.
What
will I learn? This
course will give you the training and skills you require to
visit the underwater world in safety. Your instructor can
assist with additional training for special diving activities,
as well as tell you how to get the required orientation to
dive in new areas, as you become more experienced.
You
are about to discover that it is not possible for a non-diver
to understand what diving is really like. You will see
marvellous and fascinating aquatic life first-hand, as well as
experiencing sensations which are unique to diving - like the
thrill of breathing under water for the first time, and the
feeling of floating weightless. As your experience grows, so
too will your curiosity, excitement and sense of adventure. Is
it safe?
Diving
is safe and easy with the correct understanding, skills and
equipment. Some aquatic climates can be explored easily with
snorkelling equipment, or you can make deeper, longer dives
using SCUBA (Self Contained Underwater Breathing
Apparatus) equipment The
Open Water Course is designed to make you comfortable with the
necessary equipment and ensure you gain the understanding and
skills needed for safe and enjoyable diving.
Pre-requisites
for the course.
You
should be a reasonably proficient swimmer, comfortable and
relaxed in the water. A mature attitude, good judgement and
self-discipline are all required. Your general health should
be good - in particular your circulatory and respiratory
systems. Most people easily meet these requirements.
What's
next? This
course is just the beginning of what diving can offer. You may
want to continue your diving education after you finish this
course as you discover new opportunities for fun in advanced
experiences and specialised diving skills. PADI offers a
progressive system of continuing diver education, and you will
see that courses on topics like underwater photography, wreck
diving, deep diving and night diving offers you more enjoyment
and adventure.
