19/23 Days Outer & Inner Mongolia

Although it sounds very romantic, most people think the term "Outer Mongolia" just means some very far-away place. Actually, it was a very specific term, invented during the Chinese rule of Mongolia - which lasted from the C17th through until 1924. The Chinese Emperors realised they could not effectively "control" such a vast territory, so they drew a line.
