Itinerary Ex - St Petersburg
DAY 1: Arrival in St. Petersburg, with our usual guarantee to meet any flight, train or boat.
DAY 2: After breakfast, meet-up with your St Pete’s Buddy, Morning sightseeing walk around St Petersburg – Nevsky Prospekt (the city’s main avenue), Griboyedov Canal, Church on the Spilt Blood, Admiralty, St Isaac’s and more! Afternoon free to explore some more. Evening free.
DAY 3: After breakfast come along to the Hermitage Collection – one of the world’s most famous art-collections – on view within the Winter Palace, the former Royal Palace (tickets at own expense). Free afternoon to explore – maybe take a boat trip along the rivers and canals of the city they call the “Northern Venice”? Transfer to the station for late evening departure to Moscow. (4-berth compartments)
DAY 4: Breakfast time arrival in Moscow, transfer to your hotel.
Sightseeing walk of Moscow – Red Square, Arbat Street, and all the famous sights. This afternoon’s your own to explore Moscow further – Take a sneak-peek at KGB HQ, or book a trip to get a snoop about inside; visit the Tretyakov Gallery; Evening your own.
DAY 5: Conserve your energy with a lie-in. Optional afternoon visit to the Moscow Kremlin*.
NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY in a Moscow restaurant – a 3 course meal. Then head to Red Square for midnight (independent return to your hotel whenever you choose, metro stays open till 4.00am for you to straggle home!).
DAY 6: 1st January: ”Happy New Year” Wake up and consider how you may feel? Extra nights can be booked for as little as £25 per person per night! Consider this when you are booking! If not transfers on departure day to your chosen airport train station or boat!
*We assist you with obtaining entry to the Kremlin. Tickets purchased locally approx. US$15 - US$18.
No activities on Beetroot are compulsory – you buy only the tickets you want, at local face value – leaving you in control of your spending & time!
