Trip Itinerary Ex - St Petersburg
Day 01: 24th December. Arrival in St. Petersburg with our usual guarantee to meet any flight, train or boat. We will then transfer you to your hotel. Where on arrival you will have a welcome drink and meet your Beetroot Buddy, also giving you the opportunity to make friends, then maybe join some of your fellow travellers for supper this evening? 

Day 02: 25th December. “Merry Christmas” Today after breakfast you might dash off to the Hermitage for a quick burst of culture? – Mid day departure from your hotel to a local village for a three course Christmas lunch, folklore show and sledding (weather permitting). Transfer back to your hotel the rest of the evening is free for more Christmas partying. Bars clubs open as usual. 

Day 03: 26th December.  After breakfast we will take a three-hour walking tour of St. Petersburg, which will include; Palace Square, The Canals and Cathedrals the rest of the day is at leisure to shop or maybe go to the ballet? – “St. Petes” is the cultural capital of Russia. If that’s not your thing and clubs and bars are? “St.Petes nightlife rocks” Go party with the locals! 

Day 04: 27th December.  After breakfast we will depart to the Medieval Citadel of Novgorod. This journey is approximately four hours. After checking into our 3* hotel, the balance of the day is free. How about booking supper in Kremlin Medieval restaurant? Fantastic food, great atmosphere it’s also super value for money. 

Day 05: 28th December. After breakfast this morning you will take a one hour walking tour of the city with a local guide, which includes the inside of the local Kremlin. You will then take a short bus ride to the out door village museum. (Wrap up warmly this morning) Transfer this evening at 21.00 hours for your Moscow bound train. Why not stock up on a few treats at the station before departure! On board your cosy home for the night is a 4-berth sleeper cabin… sweet dreams! 

Day 06: 29th December. Very early morning arrival to Moscow. Transfer to your hotel. There will be enough time to catch a few zzz’s. Around midday your beetroot buddy will meet you at the hotel to depart on 3-hour walking tour of the city using public transport. This will help to familiarise you with the city centre and help smooth your path while taking in the main highlights; Red Square, Lenin’s Tomb, St. Basils and much more… This evening is your own to discover the best of what Moscow has to offer – check out your beetroot bible for tips! 

Day 07: 30th December. This morning your buddy will travel with you to the Kremlin and assist you with the purchasing of entrance tickets. Balance of the day is your own why not check out Arbat Street for a little shopping? Have you been to Pushkin Square? Perhaps you have booked one of our City Excursions for this afternoon? Why not visit a local family for a traditional Russian Tea? 

Day 08: 31st December. “New Years Eve” – Paint the town red, let the party begin!”Day free to gather your strength then early evening transfer to the restaurant for New Years eve dinner in the city. After dinner wrap up warmly and go to Red Square for the fireworks and see the President wish you “Happy New Year” on the big screen. (Metro stays open till 4.00am for you to straggle home) 

Day 09: 1st January.  ”Happy New Year” Wake up and consider how you may feel? Extra nights can be booked for as little as £25 per person per night! Consider this when you are booking! If not transfers on departure day to your chosen airport train station or boat! 

Top Tip: Book your flights as early as possible as they do fill up very quickly during this time of year.
