Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Tel Aviv. Check into the
hotel. This evening meet your Tour Manager and fellow
travellers. We visit Jaffa with its cobbled streets and
artists’ quarter. (D)
Day 2: Tel Aviv to Kibbutz – Galilee. Visit Haifa’s
Bahia Temple and Gardens before continuing to upper Galilee
for a chance to raft on the Hazbani river. Tonight, we stay
in a Kibbutz and join the “Kibbutzniks” for a drink! (B,D)
Day 3: Galilee to Jerusalem. Visit the Mount of
Beatitudes overlooking Sea of Galilee before enjoying a boat
trip. (B,D)
Day 4: Jerusalem. City sightseeing begins with the
Zion Gate entering the old city. Walk through the Cardo and
visit the Western (Wailing) Wall. We see Temple Mount and
retrace the footsteps of Christ along the Via Dolorosa to
the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. See the Knesset
(Parliament) and onto the Yad Veshem Memorial to the victims
of the Holocaust. (B)
Day 5: Jerusalem to Negev Desert Camp. Visit the Dead
Sea for a swim in the mineral rich waters. Ascend the cable
car to Masada, fortress of King Herod for outstanding views.
Later, we take our camels and enter the Negev Desert with
our expert guide. Camp overnight and listen to desert tales
from our guide. (B,D)
Day 6: Negev Desert to Eilat. Leaving the Negev, we
drive to Eilat and enjoy the afternoon by the Red Sea. A
chance to relax on the beach, shop or maybe visit the
underwater observatory. (B)
Day 7: Eilat to Tel Aviv via Jordan. Cross into
Jordan for an unforgettable visit to Petra, the red rock
city. Visit the Treasury, field of tombs and the altar for
magnificent views of this ancient city. Travelling back to
Eilat for our evening flight to Tel Aviv. (B)
Day 8: Depart Tel Aviv. Final farewells to your
fellow travellers as your tour ends after breakfast. (B)
