Get a taste of southern Europe on this fun tour of 7
countries. You'll have the time of your life on this
adventurous route through the beautiful Mediterranean region
of Barcelona and Nice before ending in Amsterdam.
Day 1: Arrive Amsterdam: After checking
into your hotel, the rest of the day is yours to
explore this energetic city. This evening meet
your Contiki Tour Manager and fellow travellers.

Day 2: Amsterdam sightseeing: This
morning we visit a typical Dutch village for a
bike ride followed by a trip to a cheese farm
where we also see clogs being made. Then after a
visit to a diamond centre, take time to explore
one of Europe’s most amazing cities. A chance to
visit the house of Anne Frank, the Van Gogh
museum, the Rijks Museum and much more. Tonight
why not join us for dinner followed by a cruise
through the canals. (B)
Day 3: Amsterdam to Paris: Leaving the
Netherlands we make our way south through
Belgium towards the romantic city of Paris.
Tonight enjoy an evening tour including the
spectacular illuminations. (B,D)
Day 4: Paris sightseeing: See Nôtre Dame
cathedral, the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe and
the Louvre on our day tour. There’s time to shop
on the Champs Elysées and stroll by the Seine.
Tonight why not join us for dinner and show at a
famous Parisian cabaret. (B)
Day 5: Paris to Lucerne: This morning we
say Au Revoir to Paris and make our way to
Lucerne, with its cobbled streets and medieval
wooden chapel bridge. This evening why not join
us on a cruise on the stunning lake. (B,D)
Day 6: Lucerne to Chamonix: This morning
an opportunity to shop for famous Swiss
chocolate and watches before we make our way to
Chamonix, located at the foot of 4807m Mont
Blanc. This afternoon there’s a chance for you
to travel the cable-car to the Aiguille du Midi
for a breathtaking view of this king of
mountains! (B,D)
Day 7: Chamonix to French Riviera:
Travelling through the heart of Mont Blanc and
then into Italy towards the playground of the
rich and famous, the French Riviera. Visit a
French perfumery at Eze. Tonight try your luck
at the casino in Monaco after a visit to see the
Royal Palace. (B)
Day 8: Riviera at Leisure: Rub shoulders
with the jet-set on the promenade in Nice or
visit nearby Cannes. The day is yours to swim,
relax or shop for French fashion! (B,D)
Day 9: Riviera to Barcelona: We journey
south to Spain and the vibrant city of Barcelona
home of the 1992 Olympic Games. After dinner
explore the waterfront nightlife. (B,D)
Day 10: Barcelona Sightseeing: Our city
orientation takes in Gaudi’s amazing art nouveau
cathedral Sagrada Familià and the Olympic
complex located at Montjuic. There’s a chance to
shop for Lladro porcelain, Majorica pearls and
leather. Our walking tour takes in the Gothic
quarter and Las Ramblas! This evening why not
join us for a farewell dinner and traditional
flamenco show. (B)
Day 11: Depart Barcelona: Your tour
finishes after breakfast this morning. Time to
swap addresses and say goodbye. (B)
