Contiki tours want you to get ready and have a blast on this excellent journey from London to Athens! On this exciting tour, you'll visit tons of cities including Dover, Paris, Lucerne, Liechtenstein, Munich, Venice, Verona, Pisa, Florence, Rome, Vatican City, Corinth, and Athens.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: London to Paris: A warm welcome from your Contiki Crew as we head for the White Cliffs of Dover and Channel crossing to France. We drive past World War I battlefields to the splendour of Paris. What better way to begin than with an evening tour of the "City of Lights" and a first glimpse of the Eiffel Tower? (D)

Day 2: Paris Sightseeing: Today's sightseeing includes some of the most celebrated icons of Europe. Perhaps take the opportunity to visit the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Arc de Triomphe or the Champs Elysées. Tonight, why not complete your Parisian experience with a French meal and a famous Parisian cabaret? (B)

Day 3: Paris to Lucerne: Our path takes us toward the towering Alps and the vast serene lakes of Switzerland. Be charmed by medieval Lucerne with its Chapel Bridge, Lion monument and plentiful shopping opportunities. Maybe a cruise on Lake Lucerne to enhance your ultimate Swiss encounter? (B,D)

Day 4: Lucerne to Munich: We stop for lunch in Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein before arriving in Munich, home of the Oktoberfest. Our orientation tour takes in the Glockenspiel and Marienplatz and then we have time to visit perhaps the most popular beerhall in Munich, the Hofbrauhaus , Prost! (B)

Day 5: Munich to Venice: Today we travel south through Austria and the astonishing beauty of the Brenner Pass to cross the border into Italy. Tonight we stay on the mainland of Venice. (B,D)

Day 6: Venice Sightseeing: A short boat ride takes us into the historical centre of Venice to see St Mark’s Square, the Bridge of Sighs and the Doges’ Palace. Ample time to wander the bustling streets, see the skill required to create local crafts such as Venetian glass and fine lace and visit one of the many amazing musuems. Why not treat yourself to a gondola ride and evening meal with your fellow travellers as a perfect end to your Venetian experience? (B)

Day 7: Venice to Florence: We wind through the Apennine Mountains towards the gorgeous region of Tuscany. We visit Pisa to see the world-famous Leaning Tower and Baptistry. This evening enjoy the chance to stroll through the streets of this most spectacular of Renaissance cities, Florence. (B,D)

Day 8: Florence Sightseeing: Your day includes a walking tour seeing the Piazza della Signoria, the Duomo and Santa Croce and a chance to shop for leather, gold and silver. In your free time maybe visit one of the city’s many museums or galleries and this evening enjoy the colourful Florentine nightlife. (B)

Day 9: Florence to Rome: All roads lead to Rome where our included sightseeing tour is the perfect introduction to the Eternal City. Do as the Romans do and stroll past the Trevi Fountain, the amazing Pantheon and Piazza Navona. Take the time to discover Roman cuisine in a trattoria for a delicious meal with some local wine. (B)

Day 10: Rome Sightseeing: Ancient and modern Rome awaits your discovery. Why not start your day with a guided tour of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel? In your free time explore the Forum of Imperial Rome, search for Gladiators at the Colosseum, snap up Italian fashions or just watch the world go by with a gelato (or two). (B,D)

Day 11: Rome to Corfu: A chance to take a guided tour of the ancient city of Pompeii as we travel across Italy to board our overnight ferry to Greece. (B)

Days 12 - 13: Corfu at Leisure: Two full days on this fabulous Greek island. Work on your tan, take to the water with a chance to enjoy some watersports or get off the beaten track in an open-top jeep. At night visit a local taverna, try some Greek specialities and dance to the sound of the Zorba! (B,D)

Day 14: Corfu to Athens: We travel through the Peloponnese taking a moment to view the Corinth Canal before we arrive in Athens. Tonight explore the bustling Plaka area and why not join us for a farewell meal? (B)

Day 15: Depart Athens: This morning our city tour includes the first modern Olympic stadium, the Acropolis, the Parthenon and concludes near the Plaka in the city centre. Whether it’s further travels or homeward-bound say "Yasas" to your fellow travellers as this is where your tour ends. (B)
