Day 1 - 2 Rome Italy
Arrive any time today and check-in to our joining hotel.
Meet your Crew in the late afternoon for a welcome meeting
and dinner. Maybe tonight get a taste of what this exciting
city of Rome has to offer. The next day our walking tour
takes in the Spanish Steps, Church of Cappuchin Monks, the
Ancient Forum, the magnificent Trevi Fountain (throw in a
coin and make a wish) and the Colosseum. Discover some of
the world's finest artworks at the Vatican museum and
Sistine Chapel.

Day 3 - 4 Sorrento Italy
Today we head to stunning Sorrento, stopping off en-route to
visit the ancient buried city of Pompeii. Tonight sample the
nightlife of the popular town of Sorrento. The next day the
choice is yours. Perhaps you may wish to take the local bus
along the scenic Amalfi coast to Positano, returning in the
late afternoon. Alternatively take a full day excursion to
the Island of Capri to see the famous Blue Grotto and the
imposing clifftop village - Ana Capri.

Day 5 Assisi Italy
Today we travel through dramatic mountain scenery before
arriving in Assisi, the birthplace of the Franciscan Order
of Monks. With our local Italian guide, we visit the
Basilica of St Francis with its magnicicent frescoes, many
dating back to the 14th century.

Day 6 Florence Italy
Sit back and enjoy the captivating scenery of the Tuscan
Hills as we visit the spectacular medieval city of Sienna,
famous for its annual 'Palio' horse races in the Piazza del
Campo. Our local Italian guide will take us to the Palazzo
Pubblico, Cathedral and of course the Piazza del Campo, said
by many to be the most beautiful in Italy. Afterwards we
head to an authentic Chianti winery where we include a tour
of the historic cellars before tasting the local 'Classico'
wines, followed by an 'Al Fresco' dinner. Later we make our
way on to Florence where you can visit the night spots of
this vibrant city.

Day 7 Florence Italy
Florence, the Tuscan capital, is famous for its Renaissance
art and architecture.This morning we set out on a
fascinating walking tour with our local Italian guide,
taking in the Ponte Vecchio, Santa Croce Basilica, Duomo
Cathedral and the Uffizi Gallery. Visit a traditional
Florentine gold and silver shop and see a leathercraft
demonstration, with plenty of free time to wander the
markets or discover Michelangelo's David.

Day 8 - 9 Cinque Terre Italy
Today we head north, stopping at Lucca, probably the most
spectacular walled town in Italy. Here our local Italian
guide will show us the 16th century city walls, Duomo di San
Martino, the house where Puccini was born, and the quirky
Torre Guingi, a 44m high tower with 7 oak trees growing on
top! This afternoon, we stop at the Leaning Tower of Pisa,
en-route to La Spezia - gateway to stunning 'Cinque Terre'.
This unspoilt group of 5 villages perched on the spectacular
Liguarian coastline of Italy, is a must see for anyone
looking for a truly unique angle on Italy. We have a full
day here to make the most of the spectacular views of the
unspoilt coastline. Take a train at your leisure along the
coastline, stopping to visit the tiny villages of Monterosso,
Vernazza, Cornilglia, Manarolo, and Riomaggiore before we
meet back at our hotel in La Spezia. The uniqueness of this
area, with its sheer rocky coastline, terraced hills and
vineyards has led UNESCO to declare it a World Heritage
site.

Day 10 - 11 Venice Italy
First stop we head for Lake Garda, the largest lake in Italy
with time to take a cruise on the pristine waters. Our
journey continues stopping en-route in Verona, famous for
the Roman Forum and Juliet's Balcony, before we arrive into
our destination - the enchanting city of Venice. Our walking
tour passes the famous Rialto Bridge, St. Mark's Basilica,
Doges Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. See traditional
Venetian craftspeople at work making lace or wander through
the narrow streets and canals. How about being serenaded on
a gondola through the canals, or simply kick back 'la dolce
vita' style and relax in beautiful St. Marks Square?

Day 12 Rome Italy
Today we travel south, stopping to visit the hilltop city of
Orvieto, before arriving back in Rome for a farewell dinner.

Day 13 Rome Italy
Our trip finishes this morning after breakfast. So it's time
to bid a fond farewell to beautiful Italy and new friends.
