Travelmood Training

Every new member of staff takes part in one of our in-house inductions. Training differs by department and often involves on-the-job coaching as well as systems training.

 


Non-sales Training & Induction

Individual training and induction plans are designed to help new employees understand their role, responsibilities and the specialised IT systems we use. Training is conducted in-house, on the job, usually shadowing a more experienced member of the team.

Length of programme is dependant on the department, the individual’s prior experience and training needs taken into account. Components common to all induction periods are a Fire, Health and Safety briefing and introduction to the intranet.

 

 

Travelmood Sales Training Academy

The Travelmood Sales Training Academy takes place in Specialist destinations. Trainee Sales Consultants are taken to various locations that we brochure, for an initial 3-4 weeks as part of their experiential learning process. These areas can include Australia, the Far East and South Africa.

The Academy is conducted by our experienced trainers, who were once Travelmood Sales Consultants themselves! Full systems training is undertaken as part of the program which covers sales, products and processes. First hand experience of some of our exciting products is gained through being ‘on location’.

Experienced sales consultants receive systems training as well as a full induction into the Travelmood way.

 

 

Adventure Travel Consultant - Specialist Training Course

Our Adventure Travel Consultants are specialists and their training course has been designed to reflect their knowledge needs. 4 weeks initial learning is undertaken in our London Training Centre followed by an ongoing programme of product updates and educational trips.

Specialist Training is conducted in small groups by our experienced trainers and industry partners and starts with a systems basis, then incorporates extensive product knowledge, sales and associated administrative processes. Product updates and educational trips to adventurous destinations ensure that initial product knowledge gained is continually up-to-date and our team are true experts.
 

 

Educationals

Educationals are a learning program which involve travelling to one of key destinations to experience the services and products we provide. They are normally 1-2 weeks in duration and are a valuable learning tool as well as a lot of fun. Sales consultants are invited to attend these on a training needs basis, which usually means an annual trip to an amazing location in Australasia, the Far East or beyond.
