Day 1 Broome, Cable Beach.
Arrive in Broome and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the
day is at leisure. Tonight, enjoy the magnificent sunset
over the Indian Ocean from Cable Beach.
Two Night Stay: Broome, Cable Beach Club, right opposite
famous Cable Beach.
Day 2 Freedom of Choice Touring, Dine Around Dinner.
Select your activity from a range of options – perhaps visit
the Pearl Lugger museum or ride over the Roebuck Bay
mudflats on a hovercraft, and let APT pay the bill. Tonight
is our Dine Around Dinner – choose from a selection of
restaurants.
Day 3 Boab Prison Tree, Windjana Gorge National
Park.
See the massive Boab Prison Tree and then journey to
spectacular Windjana Gorge to view the fossils embedded in
the gorge walls and perhaps see a freshwater crocodile.
Stay: Fitzroy River Lodge, on the banks of the mighty
Fitzroy River.
Day 4 Geikie Gorge Cruise, ‘China Wall’.
We head into the Geikie Gorge National Park for a guided
cruise, viewing the gorge's bleached walls which are
evidence of annual flooding. See the unusual quartz ‘China
Wall’.
Stay: Halls Creek, Kimberley Hotel.
Day 5 Argyle Diamond Mine, El Questro Station.
Take a guided tour through the Argyle Diamond Mine, one of
the world’s largest diamond
mines and producer of the famous Argyle pink diamonds.
Two Night Stay: El Questro, Emma Gorge Resort, private en
suite.
Day 6 Freedom of Choice Touring, Emma Gorge.
Choose from several touring options this morning, including
a cruise on Chamberlain Gorge
to see rare Wandjina rock art. This afternoon is at your
leisure. Tonight, relax by the resort pool with a drink in
hand and watch the sunset.
Day 7 Wyndham, Five Rivers Lookout, Kununurra.
We travel to Wyndham and visit Five Rivers Lookout before
heading south to Kununurra.
Two Night Stay: Kununurra, All Seasons Hotel.
Day 8 Kununurra.
This afternoon enjoy a town tour.
Day 9 Ord River Cruise.
This morning, we cruise the majestic Ord River to Lake
Kununurra. Cross the state border and on to Katherine.
Stay: Katherine, Knotts Crossing Resort.
Day 10 Katherine Gorge Breakfast Cruise, Farewell
Dinner.
Enjoy a unique breakfast cruise between the towering walls
of Katherine Gorge. Travel to Darwin for our Farewell Dinner
in this tropical city.
Stay: Darwin, Novotel Atrium Hotel.
Day 11 Darwin Town Tour.
Enjoy a morning sightseeing tour including the Museum and
Art Gallery. There is an afternoon transfer to Darwin
airport.
