We Journey north today to nearby Lake Louise before driving into scenery so splendid, it's breathtaking. On route to Jasper we stop at the Columbia Icefield and enjoy a photo opportunity at the Falls.

A full day in Jasper, a little town delightfully set amid the lakes, mountains and waterways that form Jasper National Park.

On route you'll pass Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Rockies, the startlingly stark Albreda Icefields, the winter white Monashee Mountains and Little Hell's Gate Canyon.

Board the train for day two of its journey, which follows the white-water rush of the Thompson River, cuts through the steep sided Fraser Canyon and passes the immeasurably thundering waters surging through Hell's Gate gorge. We reach the end of the iron road in the Pacific Rim city of Vancouver.

Today we leave Vancouver and head to Seattle where we transfer to the cruise ship Norwegian Pearl, for her early evening sailing.

A maze of islands crowd the edges of the inside passage, where you will be able to view many different species of wildlife. As you head northbound into even more spectacular settings, the Norweigan Pearl becomes a floating resort as the sun goes down.

A day of contrasts begins with a visit to the state capital, Juneau where you could take a tram to the top of Mt Roberts or enjoy the shops and atmosphere of the old town.

Today we head to Skagway - it started as a single log cabin, bureoned in the Gold Rush of the late 1890's and is now a town of 20,000 inhabitants.

Today, take a spa; relax on the deck as we cruise through Glacier Bay.

Wedged between the steep forests of Deer Mountain and the deep waters of the Tongass Narrows, Ketchikan is a town full of character with a frontier atmosphere. It's most famous for its Tlingit totem poles, with saxman Totem Park housing the world's largest standing collection of them. We arrive here early this morning and offer a range of optional excursions.
