Day 1 KL to Taman Negara This four day adventure begins at Kuala Lumpur where you travel by road via a mountain pass to the river bank at Kuala Tembeling. From here travel by outboard motor canoes to Kuala Tahan. The 3 hour upriver trip is fascinating as the jungle vegetation along the banks of the river becomes dense. Accommodation at the Taman Negara Resort for 3 nights. Malaysian styled wooden chalets offer home comforts. All chalets have hot and cold showers, air conditioning and ceiling fans.

Days 2 & 3 Taman Negara The day to day itinerary cannot be too specific as it depends on the river levels and park facilities available at the time. The following activities may be included; Motorised canoe up river to the cataracts of Lata Berkoh, where there is excellent fishing. Jungle trek to Teresik Hill from where you can view Mount Tahan, the highest mountain in Peninsula Malaysia at 2178 metres. Return trek via a water hole for a swim and a rest. The Bat Cave – a 40 minute walk via a trail cut through the jungle.

Day 4 Taman Negara to KL After breakfast return to Kuala Tembling by boat then by car to Kuala Lumpur.
