We have hand picked some of the best cruise
boats on the Nile so that you can sit back and watch
riverside life go by, much of which has not changed
since the time of the pharaohs. Cruise boats sail from
Luxor to Aswan or vice-versa in three or four nights.
You can also choose a longer cruise by taking a six or
seven-night cruise between Luxor and Aswan and back
again. All take in Luxor’s top sites and a host of
temples on the way, including Kom Ombo temple and the
Temple of Horus. In Aswan we visit the beautiful temple
of Philae and of course the Valley of the Kings in Luxor
as well as Karnak and Luxor temples.
What to expect
All cruise itineraries are inclusive of all meals,
guided site seeing as described in the itinerary and
entertainment onboard. The service onboard is friendly
and efficient and the accommodation various depending on
your choice of cruise boat or cabin but all are
comfortable and well equipped, some with balconies.
The routine of the boat is based around the daily
excursions with many of the temple visits taking place
early in the morning to avoid the heat of the day. There
is plenty of time to relax onboard and there generally
plenty of evening entertainment.
Temples of the Nile
The gateways to your Nile cruise are Luxor and Aswan and
between these two great cities are some of the finest
and spell binding temples in Upper Egypt. Our cruise
itineraries take in these wonderful temples and sites.
THE WEST BANK, LUXOR
Whilst in Luxor we visit The Valleys of the Kings &
Queens, Colossi of Memnon, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut
and of course the temples of Luxor and Karnak.
ON THE JOURNEY
We tie up at Edfu to visit the
Temple of Horus. Just 10 minutes’ drive from
the cornice, Horus features some amazingly well
preserved hieroglyphics.
ON THE JOURNEY
The temple at Kom Ombo is unique
amongst the many temples in Upper Egypt; its dedication
to two gods means everything is duplicated, from the
doorways to the hypostyle halls
ASWAN
Either at the start or end of your cruise we visit the
Unfinished obelisk to see how the huge granite stones
were cut, the High Dam, but the highlight is the Temple
of Philae, set on an incredibly picturesque island.

Essential Information
- At certain times of the year, particularly during
winter the published itineraries on all Nile river
cruises can change. This is due to low water levels and
lock closures.
- Congestion on the Nile can be a problem due to the
large number of boats cruising between Luxor and Aswan.
It is possible that congestion at Esna lock may cause
delays, this sometimes necessitates sailing after dark
- Due to limited docking facilities your cruise boat may
dock alongside others at certain times, obscuring the
view from your cabin window.
