ITINERARY:

Day 1:  Wednesday: Cairo
On arrival at Cairo International Airport you will be met by our representative and helped through Government & Customs formalities and transferred to your hotel. Overnight Cairo at your chosen hotel.

Day 2:  Thursday: Cairo, Egyptian Museum, Pyramids (B/L)
Today we spend the morning visiting the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, which houses the world’s largest collection of artefacts from the era of the Pharaohs. In the afternoon we explore the Great Pyramids of Giza (Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinos), the Sphinx & the Khan El Khalil Bazaar. Evening is at leisure. Overnight Cairo at your chosen hotel.

Day 3:  Friday: Aswan, Nile Cruise & High Dam (B/L/D)
Transfer to Cairo Airport for your short flight to Aswan. Upon arrival at Aswan airport you will be transferred to our cruise ship for the start of your three nights cruise. Visit the High Dam, the unfinished Obelisk and Philae Temple. Overnight in Aswan on board your chosen Nile Cruise Boat.

Day 4:  Saturday: Nile Cruise, Kom Ombo, Edfu (B/L/D)
Today you will set sail early for Luxor. After breakfast, you will visit Kom Ombo Temple, returning to relax on board and continuing on to Edfu Temple in the afternoon. You will return to the boat, which will continue on to Luxor. Overnight in Luxor on board your Nile Cruise boat.

Day 5:  Sunday: Nile Cruise, Valley of the Kings (B/LD)
It will be an early start to avoid the heat of the day with a visit to the Valley of the Kings, Colossi of Memnon and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. In the afternoon, you will visit the Temples of Karnak and Luxor. Overnight in Luxor on board your Nile Cruise boat.

Day 6:  Monday: Luxor (B)
Your cruise will end after breakfast and you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day and evening is at your leisure. Overnight in Luxor at your hotel.

Day 7:  Tuesday: Luxor & Cairo (B)
Transfer to Luxor airport for your flight to Cairo. On arrival in Cairo you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day and evening is at leisure; perhaps you might like to do some last minute shopping. Overnight Cairo at your chosen hotel.

Day 8:  Wednesday: Cairo (B)
Transfer to Cairo International Airport for your flight home.

Departures:
This itinerary works best if you depart on Wednesdays because the Nile Cruise departs Aswan on a Friday. However, it is possible to add extra days either side of the Nile cruise to extend your stay.
