Aswan is an extremely beautiful city standing on the east bank of the Nile and is the perfect start or end point to the many Nile cruise boats making their way between Aswan and Luxor. It’s also a wonderful place in which to relax and just soak up the atmosphere. Our Best of Aswan package takes in the highlights of Aswan but can be adapted to suit your requirements. For example you may also like to visit the Temples of Abu Simbel, these can be reached by one of the short daily flights from Aswan.

ITINERARY:
Day 1: Luxor
On arrival at Aswan airport or train station you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Overnight Aswan at your chosen hotel.

Day 2: Aswan, Unfinished Obelisk, Aswan High Dam and Philae Temple (B)
Today we visit unfinished obelisk and Aswan High Dam, built to provide electricity. The highlight however, is the Temple of Philae, set on an incredibly picturesque island. We sail to the island and wonder at this beautiful temple saved from destruction by the creation of the Aswan High Dam.

Day 3: Aswan, day at leisure, optional visit to Abu Simbel (B)
Why not relax by your hotel pool or perhaps take an early morning excursion by air to the temples of Abu Simbel one of the most magnificent temples in the world. The first of which was built by the Ramses II, the other for his wife Queen Nefertari.

Day 4: Aswan (B)
After breakfast transfer to the airport or train station for your onward journey.
