4 day Melbourne to Adelaide

The Great Ocean Road is one of the world's most spectacular drives. The road takes you through the Otways National Park before reappearing on the Shipwreck Coast and the magnificent sight of the Twelve Apostles.

Day 1 Melbourne to the Apollo Bay
120 miles 2½ hours
Drive via the Princes Highway to Geelong and Torquay, acknowledged to be where the Great Ocean Road begins its journey westward. Lorne has been designated an area of 'Natural Beauty' with its long protected beach overlooked by the Otway Hills. Day 2 Apollo Bay to Port Fairy
118 miles 2½ hours
Continue on along the Great Ocean Road through the Otway National Park, then through to Port Campbell National Park where the road hugs the rugged coast. See the huge pillars of the Twelve Apostles. These limestone stacks rise from the ocean, sculpted by centuries of erosion from the wind and the sea. End the day’s drive at Port Fairy where you can walk along the wharf on the pretty Moyne River where the fleet dock. Day 3 Port Fairy to Robe

Day 4 Robe to Adelaide
210 miles 4¼ hours
Complete your journey with this pleasant drive through South Australia. Return your vehicle to the Avis depot at the airport or downtown.
