A new Qantas Premium Economy will appeal to to Economy travellers seeking more space, comfort and an enhanced level of service.

Premium economy will include a self-service bar offering a selection of refreshments throughout the flight. A state of the art seat manufactured by Recaro, which makes seats for Aston Martin, Audi and Porshe.

It will offer extra width and recline, more legroom, a fully adjustable, in arm, digital wide screen television as well as lap top power connection.

Premium Economy will be located on the main deck of B747 aircraft with 32 seats in a two-four-two configuration. The A380 cabin will be located on the upper deck with 32 seats in a a three-two-three configuration.

Premium Economy will be progressively introduced on selected B747-400 flights for travel from April 2008 departing Sydney to London, Singapore, Bangkok and Johannesburg, for travel from August 2008 departing Sydney to Hong Kong, and for travel from May 2008 departing Melbourne to London, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Details may change without notice. In the event that a last minute aircraft change is necessary, it is possible that a substitute aircraft that does not have Premium Economy installed may operate on these routes.
