Memphis - Rhythm & Blues

 4 Day  City Break

Memphis
Three individuals have played a key role in contributing to the many diverse attractions that make Memphis a special place to visit. The Human Rights Museum was established as a tribute to the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Graceland is the legacy of American icon Elvis Presley (“The King”), and B.B. King represents what Memphis is all about, “The Rhythm and Blues Capital Of The World”. His restaurant is the centrepiece of the famed Beale Street. A free monorail connects downtown Memphis to the fabulous Mud Island, an island in the middle of the Mississippi River, that contains a full scale model of the entire Mississippi River including street plans of the many cities and towns that grace its banks. Mud Island is also the home of the Memphis Belle, the only surviving warplane from World War II. Visitors from all over the world enjoy exploring Graceland, Elvis Presley’s palatial home. Just a short trip from Memphis is Tunica, Mississippi, where exciting riverboat gambling is king.
