Experience the ‘Best of the West’ on this magnificent journey through the Canadian Rockies; Highlights include the famous resorts of Banff and Jasper and the coastal cities of Victoria and Vancouver.

Day 1 Calgary
Arrive Calgary Airport & pick up your Alamo rental car. Your detailed Roadbook will be waiting at your hotel’s reception desk. It contains essential travel information, maps & city guides. Overnight: Ramada Hotel Downtown.

Day 2 Calgary – Kananaskis (56 miles)
Leave Calgary for the Kananaskis Valley in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, an area noted for its rugged mountain surroundings. Overnight: Delta Lodge (2 nights).

Day 3 Kananaskis Valley
Enjoy the beautiful scenery that surrounds Kananaskis and maybe try one of the many outdoor activities that are available such as golf, horseback riding, hiking or biking.

Day 4 Kananaskis – Banff (34 miles)
Today it’s a scenic drive to the famous resort town of Banff, past Canmore & Harvey Heights. Visit the Banff Springs Hotel, Bow Falls or ride the Sulphur Mountain Gondola. Overnight: Banff Inn (2 nights).

Day 5 Banff
A full day to explore Banff and the surround area. Visit the Banff Natural History Museum, perhaps try your hand at river rafting or take a boat tour on Lake Minnewanka.

Day 6 Banff – Jasper (177 miles)
Drive to Jasper along the spectacular Icefields Parkway, we suggest a stop at Lake Louise and Peyto Lake en route. Take an Ice Explorer ride (at own expense) on the Columbia Icefield. Overnight: Marmot Lodge (2 nights).

Day 7 Jasper National Park
Relax and tour Jasper and the surrounding countryside. Highly recommended are a boat cruise on Maligne Lake or a ride on the Jasper Tramway.

Day 8 Jasper – Sun Peaks (273 miles)
Drive along the scenic Yellowhead Highway to Sun Peaks perhaps stopping en route at Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Rockies. Overnight: Nancy Greene’s Cahilty Lodge.

Day 9 Sun Peaks – Harrison Hot Springs (249 miles)
Drive past Kamloops and into the breathtaking landscape of the Fraser Canyon. Go through Hell’s Gate and the Fraser Valley to the resort of Harrison Hot Springs. Overnight: Executive Hotel (2 nights).

Day 10 Harrison Hot Springs
Enjoy the day relaxing in the soothing waters of the mineral hot springs or on Harrison Lake’s wide sandy beach. The area also offers numerous recreational activities.

Day 11 Harrison Hot Springs – Victoria (180 miles land only)
Today’s journey leads to Victoria on Vancouver Island. You’ll drive along the rugged coastline and pass through Nanaimo and Chemainus. In Victoria we suggest a visit to the Inner Harbour, Bastion Square and Beacon Hill. Overnight: Queen Victoria Hotel.

Day 12 Victoria – Vancouver (44 miles land only)
Butchart Gardens are well worth a visit before returning to the mainland on a mini-cruise across the Strait of Georgia. Overnight: Best Western Vancouver Downtown (2 nights).

Day 13 Vancouver
You are free today to explore Vancouver and the surrounding area. Perhaps visit Granville Island, Grouse Mountain, Capilano Suspension Bridge or Stanley Park.

Day 14 Depart Vancouver
Drop off your rental car at Vancouver Airport before catching your onward flight.
