No journey through Canada’s mountainous western provinces would be complete without the unforgettable experience of a rail trip aboard the famous Rocky Mountaineer. You will enjoy some spectacular scenery through large picture windows as you travel through the daylight hours. An overnight stop is made at the town of Kamloops, which is included.
Journey through the heart of British Columbia passing through Fraser River Valley before reaching steep cliffs and the rapids at Hells Gate then follow Thompson River before reaching Kamloops.
Travel today to the Rockies, passing through ranchlands and into the
foothills before you enter the Rockies. Pass through the Spiral Tunnels
and Yoho National Park before crossing the Continental Divide before
reaching your destination of either Banff or Calgary.
Two levels of service are available:
RedLeaf Service offers comfortable seating with scenic views through picture windows. Enjoy a selection of chilled breakfasts, lunches and snacks served at your seat. RedLeaf Service passengers are required to bring an overnight bag for their one night stay in Kamploops, as your main baggage will be checked through to your final rail destination.
GoldLeaf Service is delivered in a domed railcar, offering panoramic views of the mountains from full-length dome windows that extend into the roof of the railcar. Enjoy gourmet breakfast and lunch selections served in the lower level dining room. GoldLeaf Service passengers will have their luggage delivered to their room in Kamploops.
