Toronto to Toronto/Montreal to Toronto

Day 1 Toronto

Upon arrival in Toronto make you own way to your centrally located hotel. After meeting your tour director the rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight (2 nights): Delta Chelsea Hotel or similar.

Day 2 Toronto

After meeting your fellow travellers over breakfast it’s time to explore Toronto on a morning city tour. In the afternoon you can join the optional amphibious Hippo coach and enjoy a tour that combines the city’s landmarks and the harbour scenery with a cruise through the lagoons and marinas. The rest of the day is free for independent exploration.


Day 3 Toronto - Montreal

9 Day tour passengers join with a 7.00am check-in with the tour director. Drive east today following the north shore of Lake Ontario, passing through rolling farmlands before joining a relaxing cruise in the Thousand Islands resort region. After taking in the sights re-board your coach for the drive to Montreal. Overnight (2 nights): Delta Montreal Hotel or similar.

Day 4 Montreal

This morning tour the second largest French-speaking city in the world. Your tour includes the downtown area, Olympic complex, charming Old Montreal and the residential streets of Mount Royal. The afternoon is at leisure to discover more of this charming city.

Day 5 Montreal – Quebec City

After bidding adieu to Montreal we travel through typical French-Canadian villages and towns experiencing the French culture of the region. Upon arrival in Quebec City we tour within the city walls and view the Lower Town, Citadel and Battlefields Park. Overnight (2 nights): Delta Quebec Hotel or similar.

Day 6 Quebec City

Today if free for you to explore the sights and sounds of this World Heritage Site. Alternatively join an optional (extra coast) full day excursion to Tadoussac, which includes a 3-hour whale watching tour on the St. Lawrence River. You will visit spectacular Montmorency Falls that are higher than Niagara Falls. In the evening stroll through the narrow streets and browse in unique boutiques.

Day 7 Quebec City - Ottawa

Following the north shore of the St. Lawrence we drive past Montreal and cross the Ontario border to Ottawa the nation’s capital. We stop along the way for lunch in a pioneer style restaurant. Overnight (2 night): Delta Ottawa Hotel or similar.

Day 8 Ottawa

This morning’s tour takes in the Parliament Buildings, the residences of the Prime Minister and the Governor General, the Rideau Canal and other major sights. The afternoon is free to explore some of the museums and galleries or perhaps a little retail therapy in Sparks Street Mall.

Day 9 Ottawa - Midland

The journey west passes lakes, streams and deep forests to the Algonquin National Park where you can take a walk along one of the scenic trails. The area is a favourite destination for camping expeditions and your walk will give you the opportunity to experience a little of it yourself. Later we drive to the Muskoka region our destination for the night. Overnight: Best Western Highland Inn or similar.

Day 10 Midland – Niagara Falls

This morning we visit Sainte-Marie, a fascinating detailed reconstruction of the first inland European community in Canada. After driving past Toronto it’s on through the orchards and vineyards of the Niagara Peninsula and onto Niagara Falls. Here you will enjoy a thrilling boat ride on the Maid of the Mist that takes you to the foot of the thundering waterfalls for an unforgettable experience. Overnight: Renaissance Fallsview Hotel or similar.

Day 11 Niagara Falls – Toronto

There’s time this morning to ride to the top of the Skylon Tower for a spectacular view of the falls and surrounding district of Niagara. Afterwards we drive along the scenic Niagara Parkway through historic villages before stopping at a winery for a tour and to sample some of the wines. Then it’s just a short drive to Toronto. The evening features a special farewell dinner with your new found friends at the CN Tower. Overnight: Delta Chelsea Hotel or similar.Note: 9 day passenger’s tour concludes upon arrival at the hotel and does not include the farewell dinner.

Day 12 Depart Toronto

Time for some last minute shopping before making your own way to the airport.
