Day 1 Arrive Coromandel Peninsula
Make your own way to the Aotearoa Lodge, situated in Whitianga just a kilometre to the beach. If you require coach transfers from Auckland your Travelmood consultant can arrange this for you at additional cost.

Day 2 Top of the Peninsula Tour
Depart from Aotearoa Lodge at 8.30am and travel north to Port Jackson, on the northern tip of the Coromandel. Cross the range south of Whitianga and walk the easy path to some majestic kauri trees. There is an opportunity to ride the bush railway at Driving Creek (own expense). Then follow the coastline north viewing the spectacular scenery of craggy rock outcrops, beautiful old Pohutukawa trees (flowering Nov/Dec), Hauraki Gulf islands, bird life and sometimes dolphins! Return to Aotearoa Lodge about 4.30pm.

Day 3 Depart Coromandel Peninsula
Day at leisure before your departure. If time permits extend your stay by a night and enjoy a full day 'Nature & Coast' walk, visiting the old historic gold caves with glowworms from £86.
