The Nature Reserve Encompassing 64 acres within the resort's vast confines, the Nature Reserve is a conservation effort between the Sabah State Wildlife Department and Shangri-La's Rasa Ria Resort. The Nature Reserve is open to all guests of the resort, offering bird-watching at dawn, daytime hiking and visiting of Orang Utan as well as nocturnal watches where guests are invited to join the rangers to catch glimpses of the Nature Reserves many nocturnal creatures. Guided walks are always advised for visitors' safety with a limited number of visitors allowed per entry. A five-minute walk into the Reserve takes you to the Orang Utan feeding platform. The best
viewing is at 10am and 2pm every day when the Rangers feed the Orang Utans. They are fed fruits and tuber plants, supplemented with milk. This is a unique and memorable experience!

3 Day Turtle Island and Orang Utan SIDE TRIP
An ideal tour for animal lovers! Spend a night on a desert island to see turtles laying their eggs and turtle hatchlings swimming out to sea. The following day see Orang Utans at the Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary.
