ITINERARY:
DAY 1 Cairo On arrival at Cairo
Airport, you will be met by one of our representatives
and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo at
your chosen hotel.
DAY 2 Egyptian Museum, Cairo
This morning, you will visit the Egyptian Museum, which
hosts more than 120,000 Egyptian artefacts including the
Tutankhamun
exhibition – one of the greatest collections of its kind
in the world. After your visit, you will be free to
explore Cairo at your leisure.
Overnight in Cairo at your chosen hotel. (B)
DAY 3 Pyramids at Giza, Memphis and Saqqara,
Cairo The Pyramids at Giza are one of the Seven
Wonders of the World and one of
Egypt’s best-known symbols. Today, you will spend a
full-day exploring the Pyramids, the remains of Memphis
and then on to Saqqara to visit the Step Pyramid of
Zoser. At the end of the day, one of our representatives
will take you to Cairo train station where you will
board the overnight train to Luxor. Accommodation is in
a first-class sleeper carriage. (B, L)
DAY 4 Luxor transfer from Luxor train
station with one of our representatives to your hotel.
DAY 5 Luxor, Valley of the Kings and Queens,
Hatshepsut Temple and Colossi of Memnon
This morning, you will cross the Nile to begin your
visit to the West Bank. Your first stop is a visit to
Valley of the Kings where you will
explore some of the 62 tombs belonging to some of the
most well-known pharaohs including Ramses, Tutankhamun,
Seti and
Thutmosis. We also visit the Valley of the Queens
containing up to 70 tombs and the wonderful temple built
for Queen Hatshepsut
and the Colossi of Memnon. After a full morning’s
sightseeing, you will return to your hotel where you can
relax for the rest of the day. Overnight in Luxor at
your chosen hotel. (B)
DAY 6 Luxor, Karnak and Luxor Temples
Today you will visit both Luxor and Karnak Temples on
the East Bank of the Nile. Both temples are amazing
examples of ancient
Egyptian architecture depicting life around 1600 BC. A
huge statue of Ramses II greets visitors to the Luxor
Temple. The Temple of
Karnak contains a group of temples including Amon Ra and
the God Osiris and is one of the largest temples in the
world. Afternoon is at
your leisure. Overnight in Luxor at your chosen hotel.

DAYS 7-8 Luxor Day at leisure in Luxor.
Overnight in Luxor at your chosen hotel. After
breakfast, you will transfer to the airport or train
station for your onward journey.
