10 day Hobart to Hobart Circular Self Drive

The island of Tasmania lies just 150 miles from mainland Australia across the Bass Strait, yet is a world apart. A land of wild and beautiful landscapes, it is also rich in history and blessed with a rare abundance of good food and fine wine. This self-drive itinerary offers a relaxed 10 days spent touring the island's sublimely picturesque countryside contrasted with visits to several delightful small and large towns.

Day 1 Hobart
Arrive in Hobart and collect your rental car. Rest of the day is at leisure to explore Hobart. Overnight at The Old Woolstore.

When in Hobart, visit the Saturday Salamanca Markets - hundreds of stalls displaying arts, crafts, collectibles and delicious Tasmanian food.

Looking for an evening meal on Hobart's spectacular waterfront? Why not try one of the locals' favourite restaurants - Fish Frenzy.
