9 day Brisbane to Cairns
This tropical Queensland adventure takes you through 1,100 miles of
wondrous sights, including World Heritage Listed Fraser Island, and the
beautiful Whitsunday region. Offshore for much of the route will be the
vast sweep of the Great Barrier Reef, a marine life miracle and the world’s
largest structure made by living creatures.

Day 1 Brisbane to Fraser Island
203 miles 5¼ hours
From Brisbane join the Bruce Highway and
continue to Urangan Harbour (near Hervey Bay)
to take the launch to Fraser Island, a World
Heritage listed area. This is the world's largest
sand-massed island, and offers superb walking
tracks, fresh water lakes, vast empty beaches
and lush rainforest. Overnight for 2 nights at
Kingfisher Bay Resort, (includes breakfast).
Day 2 Fraser Island
Enjoy a full day ranger guided 4WD tour of
Fraser Island. Discover the diversity of flora and
marvel at the tall forest at Pile Valley; see the
clear waters at Wanggoolba Creek, the majestic
rainforest at Central Station and the pure white
sands and azure waters of Lake McKenzie.
Day 3 Fraser Island to Raglan Farm Stay
233 miles 5½ hours
Transfer back to Hervey Bay by catamaran to
collect your car. Continue north along the
Capricorn Coast and southern stretches of the
Barrier Reef to Raglan, just 50 miles south of
Rockhampton for a one night stay on a farm.
Overnight at Langmorn Station (includes dinner,
breakfast and farm activities).
Day 4 Raglan to Airlie Beach
340 miles 6½ hours
This morning spend some time with your hosts
on the farm. Then travel on to Airlie Beach,
which lies in the heart of the Whitsundays. This
spectacular region is right in the heart of the
Great Barrier Reef and incorporates 74
beautiful islands and the adjacent mainland.
The tranquil waterways, countless sheltered
bays and stunning rainforest national parks
provide an ideal playground in which to relax
and enjoy the sunshine. Overnight for 2 nights
at Coral Sea Resort, Garden View Suite (Standard),
Coral Sea Resort, Bay View Suite (Superior).
Day 5 The Whitsundays
A day at leisure in The Whitsundays.
Cruise out to Reefworld to experience
the Great Barrier Reef from £80.

Day 6 Airlie Beach to Townsville
180 miles 3½ hours
Continue north from Airlie Beach to Townsville,

Day 7 Townsville to Mission Beach
150 miles 3½ hours
Mission Beach offers 5 miles of sandy white
beach backed by palms and rainforest.

Day 8 Mission Beach
Day at leisure on Mission Beach to relax on the
long sandy beach or perhaps consider a day trip
to nearby Dunk Island, just a 45 minute

Day 9 Mission Beach to airns
90 miles 2¼ hours
Complete your trip with the
short, but scenic drive to
tropical Cairns.
