Day 1 Sydney to Blue Mountains

Depart Sydney for the spectacular Blue Mountains. See the famous rock formations, take a walk along one of the many trails or ride the Scenic Railway.

Day 2 Blue Mountains to the Hunter Valley
148 miles 3 ½ hours
Enjoy the great scenery that New South Wales has to offer as you head to the wine region of the Hunter Valley.

Day 3 Hunter Valley
A full day free to explore the many wineries in this famous wine growing region. In addition to wine tasting there are numerous activities on offer in the area including hot air balloon flights, horse riding and walking trails.

Day 4 Hunter Valley to Port Stephens
70 miles 1½ hours
Head to the coast and the safe swimming beaches and seafood restaurants of Port Stephens. We recommend a boat cruise to see the wild dolphins and in summer a swim!

Day 5 Port Stephens to Sydney
135 miles 2½ hours
Drive south via the Pacific Highway and Ku-ring-gai National Park to Sydney to complete your 5 day self drive itinerary.
