Day 1 Welcome to Casablanca
The most colourful and cosmopolitan metropolis in the Northern Africa. This evening our tour leader will brief us about the next days of our journey. Optional dinner is available to get to know your travel mates better. Overnight stay in Casablanca.

Day 2 Casablanca, Rabat, Fes
After breakfast we’ll start to discover this unique city. We’ll visit the United Nations Square, the Anfa Residential Quarter and the impressive Mosque of Hassan II. Then we will head our way to Rabat, set in a rich, amber-coloured landscape combining the ancient history with the modern Moroccon culture. After visiting the Royal Palace, Chellah Ruins, Hassan Tower, Mohamed V Mausoleum and the Oudayas Gardens, we’ll depart for Fes, where we’ll stay overnight.

Day 3 Fes
Today we’ll explore the oldest imperial city of Morrocco with more than 10.000 tiny streets offering the largest “medina” (old city) and souks in the world. The Bab Boujloud Gate, Bou Inania Medersa, Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, Andalusian and Quaraouiyine Mosque, Najjarine Square and the Spices Market, Atarine Medersa, the surroundings of Karaouine Medina and Mellah will be the sites visited today. Overnight stay in Fes.

Day 4 Fes, Midelt, Erfoud
After breakfast we’ll depart for Midelt passing through the Atlas mountains. Midelt is an impressive mountain city at 1488 meters of altitude, remarkably situated down the jbel Ayachi (3737 m). In the afternoon we’ll continue to Erfoud via the canyon of Ziz and the lake of the retaining reservoir Hassan Addakhil. Later we’ll arrive in Erfoud, the city situated at the gates of Tafilalet. Overnight stay in Erfoud.

Day 5 Erfoud, Tineghir, Todra Gorges, Ouarzazate Early in the morning you can join the optional excursion to Merzouga before departing for Ouarzazate. After breakfast we’ll depart for Tineghir by passing through the breathtaking desert landscape and Oasis with its fantastic palmgroves. Then we’ll travel to Todra Gorges, the narrow canyon where 300 meters high cliffs drop to the riverbed below. In the afternoon we’ll arrive in Ouarzazate, the city famous for its handicrafts, nature, narrow streets and the marvellous surrounding kasbahs.

Day 6 Ouarzazate, Marrakech
Today we’ll first discover Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, one of the most authentic and well maintained villages in the region of Atlas. Then we’ll proceed to Marrakech via the High Atlas mountain and 2700 meters high Tizi n Tichka pass offering magnificent views and a unique landscape. In the afternoon we’ll arrive in Marrakech and start to explore this fascinating city. Marrakech is the point where the Arab culture of the cities meets the Berber culture of the mountain villages; where the weary sub-Saharan traders (carrying gold, salt and slaves) would ply their wares to the merchants who would then bring them to Europe. Today we will visit Djemaa el Fna Square full with story tellers, snake charmers, acrobats, musicians, folklore dancers. Overnight stay in Marrakech.

Day 7 Marrakech
Framed by the snowy heights of the Atlas, with rose-coloured ramparts and a thousand year old palm grove, Marrakech casts a magic spell. After breakfast we’ll start to discover the spell of Marrakech : Menara Gardens, Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tumbs, Bahia Palace and Dar Si Said Museum will be the sights visited. Afternoon free to explore additional sites of this unique city.

Day 8 Marrakech
Free day in this impressive city. Today you can walk along the narrow streets of Morocco, shop at the famous souks or just relax at your hotel for the next adventurous days of your journey.

Day 9 Marrakech, Essaouira
Today you can visit additional sights of Marrakech before we head our way to Essaouira, one of the interesting Moroccon cities just by the Atlantic Ocean. This evening we’ll stay overnight in Essaouira.

Day 10 Essaouira
Free day in this unique town. Today you can practice wind surfing, relax on the beaches, lose your way in the medina with its narrow lanes, white washed houses, tranquil squares, pleasant cafes and artisans in tiny workshops. Tasting grilled sardines and fish at the Essaouira port can be also a nice experience.

Day 11 Essaouira, Taroudant
After a scenic drive along the Atlantic coast through “Argane Trees Forests” and “Bananas Plantations”, we’ll arrive in Taroudant, a Berber market town located on the fertile Souss Valley, an important spot in the Trans Sahara caravan routes. We’ll visit the ramparts of this interesting town, the main “souk” which is a spot for Berber jewellery before checking into our hotel.

Day 12 Taroudant, Taliouine, Tazenakht, Agdz, M’hamid
A long day is awaiting us. Today we’ll drive along the Oasis, palmeraies, Berber villages and kasbahs through the High Atlas mountains until we reach M’hamid. We’ll pass by Taliouine, the city enclosed by medieval walls which look best at dusk, when the gold, pink and orange colors are brought out by the setting sun and then by Tazenakht and Agdz until we reach M’hamid. The village of M’hamid is very modest by all standards and reflects the original desert & traditional life of Morocco. The village is located at the edge of Sahara and “52 days by camel to Tombouctou”. This evening we’ll stay in sedentary tents representing the real local life of the Sahara. Dinner is included.

Day 13 M’hamid, Chigaga
Today we’ll experience another impressive day at the Moroccon desert. In the morning we’ll join a 4x4 jeep safari through the magnificent sand dunes. Today we may have the opportunity to visit one of the nomad families who live in hand-woven goat hair tents. We’ll also have lunch at the Oasis. Then we’ll continue to Chigaga, a 40 km-long stretch of huge 300 m high saharian dunes, through the arid plains and sands. In the evening we’ll check into our nomad tent camp, based at the largest dunes called “ocean without water” and have dinner under the desert stars. This is an awesome experience: to watch the desert change colour under the sunset, watching a billion stars in the night sky, or the quiet of the desert before the sun comes up...

Day 14 Chigaga, Zagora, Marrakech
Early in the morning we’ll depart from Chigaga to M’hamid in our 4x4 jeeps and drive through the impressive Sahara. Then we’ll continue to Marrakech via the magnificent Draaa Valley, home of one of the longest rivers in Morocco. Faltire palmeraies of Draa are crammed with date palms, olive and almond trees. The scenery along the river is a highlight for the photographers. In the afternoon we will have free time to visit Djemaa el Fna Square in Marrakech full with story tellers, snake charmers, acrobats, musicians, folklore dancers. Overnight stay in Marrakech.

Day 15 Marrakech/Casablanca
