Trip Itinerary
Day 1 Amman Welcome to Jordan
Rich in archaeological sites, historical monuments and enormous variety of spectacular scenery... Arrival transfer from the airport to our hotel in Amman. This evening our tour leader will meet us to brief about the next days of your journey.
Day 2 Amman, Jerash, Ajlun, Umm Qais
After breakfast we’ll depart for ancient Gadara in Umm Qais, one of the brilliant Greco-Roman cities in Jordan. Then we’ll head our way to Ajlun, an Islamic castle built high on a hill overlooking the entire Jordan valley below. In the afternoon we’ll drive through the pine forests and olive groves to the ancient Greco-Roman city of Jerash. Our guide will take us for a tour through the collonnaded street, amphitheater, churches, temples and the vast Roman Forum. In the evening we’ll arrive in Amman.
Day 3 Amman city tour, Desert Castles
Today we’ll first visit the important sights in Amman including the amphitheater and the citadel. Then we’ll depart for the famous desert castles located around 100 kms north east of Amman. We’ll visit three imporant castles, Azrak, Amra and Kharaneh, which reflect the magnificent Islamic art and architecture.
Day 4 Amman, Madaba, Mount Nebo, Kerak, Petra
Another impressive day is awaiting us. After breaktast we’ll depart for Madaba and Mount Nebo, the highest point in the Moabit range which has been a centre for pilgrimages since the earliest Christian times. Madaba also holds the finest Byzantine mosaics including the famous 6th century map of Palastine. Then we’ll drive to Kerak via the Kings Highway and via Wadi Al Mujib, a deep and majestic cut through rugged highlands that drains into the Dead Sea. In the afternoon we’ll visit the impressive Kerak Castle, which was built in the 12th century. It is the largest late Islamic castle in Jordan constructed in the crusader period and expanded and refortified during the Ayyubid and Mamluk periods. In the evening we’ll arrive in Petra, where we’ll stay overnight.
Day 5 Petra
After breakfast we’ll depart for a full day tour in the Red Rose City Petra. We’ll join an unforgettable trip on horse back till the siq and then by foot till we reach the Treasury. Our local guide will provide us with a brief history of the city, which is the great attractions in the Middle East. We’ll also visit the Pharaoh's Castle, the Triumphal arch and the Amphitheater. Overnight stay in Petra.
Day 6 Petra, Al-Beidah, Wadi Rum
Today we’ll first drive to Al-Beidah -Little Petra-, the ancient city dating back 9000 years. Then we’ll drive to Wadi Rum, the natural wonder in Jordan. After checking into our desert camp in Wadi Rum, we’ll join a 2 hour’s Jeep safari in the desert. This evening we’ll also enjoy a Jordanian local dinner in Wadi Rum. After chilling out by the desert fire and sharing our experiences with our travel mates under a starry sky, we’ll stay overnight in our desert camp.
Day 7 Wadi Rum, Dead Sea, Amman
After breakfast we’ll drive to the lowest point on earth, Dead Sea for floating on the salty water. Dead Sea is around 300 meters below the sea level and famous for its healing mud. In the afternoon we’ll depart for Amman.
Day 8 Amman
Our trip will end after breakfast in Amman. Transfer to the airport.
